Olympic beer pong. Lukashenko’s son joins booze business to intoxicate the nation

In July 2025, the first store selling alcoholic beverages under the Dub Zeleny brand opened in Pruzhany, the home city of Lukashenko’s “moneybag”, Alexander Zaitsev. A local newspaper has announced the launch of a wider chain of alcohol shops across Belarus.

We discovered that Zaitsev registered this trademark in his own name in July 2023.

Buro discovered that the Pruzhany store itself belonged to Glavtorgpred.

Another Dub Zeleny store was registered under the same name in Pinsk in March 2025.

Alexander Zaitsev owns 51% of Glavtorgpred. However, the businessman does not plan to get Belarusians drunk on his own. He will be joined by his patron, Viktor Lukashenko, the older son of Aleksandr Lukashenko, who has been president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) since 2021. The NOC owns 49% of the company.

However, we will never know how much the partners will earn from the new alcohol chain, as all of the company’s accounting reports are classified as tax secrets under a decree issued by the Council of Ministers.

In addition to Dub Zeleny, Glavtorgpred has owned a duty-free supermarket at the Berastavitsa/Bobrowniki border crossing with Poland since 2021.
